NPC deputies from Hefei high-tech zone present ideas
Tech entrepreneurs from the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – presented suggestions as deputies to the first session of the 14th National People's Congress.

After five consecutive terms and 21 years in office, Liu Qingfeng, the 14th NPC deputy and chairman of Chinese artificial intelligence pioneer iFLYTEK, brought eight written proposals this year.
They focused on AI helping with the development of social and livelihood areas such as healthcare, elderly care, youth mental health and barrier-free environmental development – as well as how to deal with industrial changes and ethical issues brought about by technology and incentives for stock exchange-listed companies.

Guo Guoping, the 14th NPC deputy and professor of quantum computing at the University of Science and Technology of China, was also active.
He proposed that collaboration on quantum computing should be accelerated at the national level and that progress in quantum computing could be made by encouraging State-owned enterprises to take the lead in creating quantum computing applications scenarios in various industries.
Guo added that progress in core devices and key technologies should be encouraged and more efforts be made in the commercialization and innovation of the quantum computing industry.
