Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province – and Guokaike Quantum Technology (Beijing) Co Ltd held a signing ceremony in the Hefei high-tech zone on Feb 27 for the QuDoor Quantum (Hefei) headquarters base.

Founded in January 2019, Guokaike Quantum Technology (Beijing) Co Ltd – with the registered trademark QuDoor – is an influential company in China that boasts core technology and cutting-edge products in quantum computing.

QuDoor released its "Tiansuan Computing No 1" on Feb 21. It is the first modular ion trap quantum computing engineering machine in China, marking a key step in the development of China's atomic-type quantum computers.

To date, there are five national-level quantum platforms and 19 provincial-level innovative quantum platforms in Hefei high-tech zone. The zone is also home to 47 quantum-related enterprises, 24 of which possess core technologies, ranking the zone first in China in this field.
