Recently the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone held a news conference to detail the zone's new policies to support green and low-carbon development.

According to its green development planning, the Hefei high-tech zone will strengthen scientific and technological innovation to promote industrial transformation, build a green industrial ecology, and foster a low-carbon and sustainable development mode.

Forty specific index systems in eight categories, such as green technology, green investment and financing, the modernization of environmental governance, as well as green and low-carbon standards, have been launched.

Hefei High-tech Zone also released 10 new policies to support green and low-carbon development.

The zone will encourage production enterprises to upgrade key pollution sources, promote the application of new pollution prevention and control technologies, carbon reduction technologies, and new processes, and install online monitoring facilities for pollution sources and energy consumption.

Efforts will be made to support third parties in providing technology and green technology transformation plans for key industrial enterprises in the zone.
