Hefei-based quantum computing company Origin Quantum recently has made an important step in the quantum field, local media reported.

Its self-developed quantum computing learning algorithm, called the quantum generation antagonistic network algorithm, has achieved exponential improvements in image processing.

Origin Quantum's cloud platform displayed how the algorithm works on image repair, which is not a new technology but has not been mastered by a quantum computer.

Zhang Hui, general manager of Origin Quantum, said that today's quantum computers are not smarter than classical computers, but they will surpass classical computers in the future.

Compared with classical computers, once the quantum computing technology for processing images becomes mature, the technology for processing portraits will achieve a powerful breakthrough in speed, algorithm, space efficiency, as well as accuracy.
