Origin Quantum continues to increase patent applications

Hefei-based quantum computing enterprise Origin Quantum submitted more than 100 patent applications, including more than 80 invention patents, in the first half of this year, the company recently reported.
As of July 29, Origin Quantum has applied for nearly 500 patents in total.
The enterprise, which was established in 2017 in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, was ranked first in China and seventh in the world on the list of global enterprises with the largest number of invention patents filed before Sept 30, 2020 for quantum computing technology.
The list was released in October 2020 by the innovation index research center incoPat and IPR Daily.
The enterprise's patents are related to quantum chips (structural design, preparation process, testing, and packaging), quantum measurement and control (components, signal processing, and control system), as well as quantum software (compiled language, programming framework, and quantum computing application).
