Anhui launches innovation and entrepreneurship competition
East China's Anhui province recently launched its annual innovation and entrepreneurship competition - 2021 Chuangxiang China.
The competition is open to innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world and has categories for individuals, groups, and enterprises. The total prize purse for the competition is 15 million yuan ($2.35 million).
Projects from strategic emerging industries including new-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, new materials, environmental protection, new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, smart home appliances are welcome to participate.
The application deadline is June 30.
The competition consists of four legs that will be held in Anhui, the Yangtze River Delta region, the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and Silicon Valley in the United States. The finals will be held in Hefei before Sept 30.
According to the host of the competition, winners will receive policy support in developing their projects in the province and be recommended to investment institutions.
Over the past four years, 1,132 overseas projects have been submitted to the competition. Sixty-seven of these projects received financial support and were eventually developed in the province.
