Online stores run by China Speech Valley, a national industrial park revolving around artificial intelligence (AI), sold nearly 2-million-yuan ($281.839.75) worth of intelligent products developed by more than 350 enterprises in the park amid the epidemic.

China Speech Valley has been promoting both online and offline businesses since 2018. It has built more than 50 stores in cities across China, such as Hefei, Chongqing and Beijing, and opened flagship stores on JD and Tmall, two popular online shopping platforms.

"When offline retail stores closed due to the epidemic, our products were still available online," said Feng Haihong, founder of Anhui MiMouse Technology Company, based in the park, adding that the China Speech Valley brand helps attract more online buyers.

"The online stores are open to any quality product from enterprises based in the park; a professional team will help conduct a market survey to increase sales," said Liu Guoxin, a marketing manager for China Speech Valley.

Online sales statistics reveal that popular products include smart wearables, smart computer mouses and smart home devices from tech firms in the park such as iFlytek, Huami and MiMouse.

As the epidemic is leveling off across China, offline China Speech Valley stores are preparing to reopen in accordance with local epidemic prevention and control measures on work resumption.

Liu said that although the closed offline stores are losing money in rent and salary payments, he is confident that offline sales will grow as consumer spending pick up after the epidemic.

"This year, over 300,000 intelligence devices will be sold through the online and offline stores, and sales are expected to exceed 20 million yuan," Liu said when introducing their marketing plan.
