China Speech Valley, a national industrial base in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, was recently added to the 2019 National Demonstration Projects of New Information Consumption list.

Information consumption is the consumption of information technology products and services -- a field that involves the e-commerce business, the internet and cloud computing, among others. It is seen as being effectively able to drive economic demand, create new sources of growth and help upgrade consumer demand.

Officials said the demonstration projects are noted for their technical services, innovative ability and strong industry or regional characteristics, all of which contribute to the country's development of information consumption.

To date, China Speech Valley has developed more than 130 artificial intelligence products covering education, medical care, automobiles and other fields, many of which have entered  markets.

The industrial base plans to launch more favorable polices for the intelligent transformation of electric products and build platforms for the industrial applications of AI technology.
