Hefei hi-tech zone encourages IP innovation
A summit promoting high-quality innovation and intellectual property (IP) development was held in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on June 28.
Nearly 400 attendees, including government officials in Anhui province and representatives from tech firms and key enterprises, were invited to discuss how to better utilize intellectual property.
Liu Liangliang, vice director of the administrative committee of the zone, said the zone is striving to improve IP creation, utilization, management, protection, and service, and has seen significant progress.
Last year, the zone ranked first in Anhui province in terms of number of patent applications and patent authorizations, with a total of 402 patents per 10,000 inventions, which also puts it near the top nationally.
Liu said that intellectual property plays an important role in promoting technological innovation and improving enterprise competitiveness. He encouraged attendees to make full use of their IP resources.
Moving forward, the zone will launch more activities to introduce favorable policies and improve service institutions to help push for more patent applications.
