A total of 30 artificial intelligence projects were signed into effect at the 3rd Brain-inspired Intelligence Summit Forum in Hefei city, Anhui province, on June 30.

With a total investment of 5.8 billion yuan ($843.45 million), the projects cover the field of AI, big data, IoT chip design, facial recognition, machine vision and high performance computing.

The projects, facing a healthy market and featuring cutting-edge technology and strong research capabilities, will be developed in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone.

To date, the zone has gathered more than 480 AI-related enterprises, and the new projects will help to further boost the budding industry.

The forum showcased the latest research achievements in the field of brain-inspired intelligence and revealed supporting policies for the development of artificial intelligence.

Domestic scholars, experts and entrepreneurs working to develop brain-inspired intelligence technology attended the forum to discuss the development trends in the industry.
