The Anhui Health (Medicine) Industry Promotion Forum was held in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on June 21, providing an exchange platform for government and enterprises.

Nearly 100 attendees including government officials in Anhui province and entrepreneurs from biomedicine companies were invited to discuss how to facilitate the development of the pharmaceutical industry.

The forum helped connect the information resources of biomedical enterprises with the administrative resources of government, clarify the government's role in the health industry, and enhance understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Fang Xiangmin, vice director of the administrative committee of the zone, introduced recent developments in the zone's bio-pharmaceutical industry. Industry revenue reached 16.72 billion yuan ($2.44 billion) in 2018, and a batch of new companies is developing rapidly.
