Anhui's provincial capital of Hefei has made major progress in creating a favorable environment for international talents.
The city ranked 3rd among the most appealing Chinese cities for expats to work and live according to an annual survey announced at the International Exchange of Professionals on April 14 in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.
With a series of supporting policies and funds, the city has demonstrated its determination to bolster talent development and has been attracting an increasing number of talents and entrepreneurs.
To better serve talents and startups, a public service center for scientific innovation was established in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone with support from the provincial government in 2012.
To date, the center has organized more than 50 promotional activities for innovative projects and provided entrepreneurial services for 225 enterprises.
The zone also opened Hefei International Talent City in 2018 to serve talents from around the world through business windows and exchange activities.
