A medical engineering institute in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone unveiled the world's first intelligent prevention and management model for brain diseases at a medical forum in Beijing from May 17 to 19.
A high-end platform based on the model has been set up in the zone, which aims to promote the research and manufacturing of high-end medical imaging equipment and facilitate brain disease prevention and management.
During the forum, Professor Zhang Gong and John Saunders from the institute delivered speeches on the latest research into brain medical imaging and how they leverage research results to make the model effective and efficient.
Moving forward, the institute, which employs both Chinese and Canadian research teams, will join hands with more hospitals to tackle pressing issues in brain science and improve imaging equipment technology through the platform.
