Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone put together a panel discussion on how to promote high-quality development in high-tech zones on April 26.

The panel, consisting of representatives from domestic high-tech zones, agreed that technological innovation is the main driver for economic growth and pledged to carry out modernization reforms on their management systems.

Song Daojun, director of the administrative committee of Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, introduced the zone to panel members and pledged to work with other national high-tech zones to develop advanced technologies and key industries.

Over the past three years, Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has increased its revenue from 411.05 billion yuan ($66.23 billion) to 488.5 billion yuan, and the number of registered companies in the zone has grown from 13,705 to 28,016.

"To serve the development of intelligent economy, we will expand application scenarios for innovative technologies," said Song as he shared his working plan with attendees.
