To promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone gathered government officials and representatives from more than 200 enterprises to explore new opportunities at a session on April 20.

During the session, attendees agreed that the transformation of traditional production methods toward modern intelligent manufacturing is the key to driving the development of the industry.

Fang Xiangmin, vice director of the zone's administrative committee, described an implementation program designed to upgrade the manufacturing industry by building 50 intelligent production lines, 24 digital workshops and 12 smart factories by 2021.

The session revealed some major projects relating to the development of the smart manufacturing sector and invited innovative enterprises such as iFlytek and Yun OS to introduce the current trends in industrial internet employment.
