The quantum industry in Anhui province is gaining ground as cutting-edge technological achievements and unicorn enterprises are emerging in the field of quantum science.

As China's quantum center, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in Anhui province has made significant contributions to the developmet of quantum information technology, a popular research field around the world.

At present, the zone has five quantum technical enterprises and more than 20 quantum-related enterprises in total. It also has 600 scientific research personnel in the field of quantum science.

The number of patents in the quantum information industry in Hefei accounted for 12.1 percent of China's total, ranking second in the country.
