Hefei hi-tech zone holds first MRI forum

The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone held China's first forum on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided interventional procedure from March 22 to 24, a milestone in minimally invasive surgery.
The MRI guided interventional procedure is a safe and effective method to operate inimally invasive surgery, because of low complication rates, high accuracy rates, and a high curative effect.
It is seen as being of great significance that at the forum, for the first time, interventional therapy under magnetic resonance condition has been discussed by academic professionals.
Experts and doctors from all across the country attended the forum and shared views on the recent achivements and development trends of the treatment in discussion.
"The forum helps more clinicians and enterprises know about the advantages of the complete sets of MRI equipment," said Jin Daoming, chairman of a medical equipment manufacturer in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone.
