Construction started on a cultural service center in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, Anhui province, on March 1.

With investment totaling 880 million yuan ($131.18 million), the center is expected to cover an area of 60 mu (4 hectares) with a planned floor area of 110,000 square meters.

It will provide cultural services for residents and international talents, and offer space for free trade between enterprises, the display of sci-tech products and the holding of conferences.

With its large scale, attractive shape and innovative structure, it is set to be a significant individual public building in the zone.

Hefei Stip, the contractor of the center, has pledged to endeavor to complete the project to a high standard.
