Aiming to become a world-class high-tech zone, Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, Anhui province, recently unveiled a 2019-21 plan for the construction of major projects.

The plan includes 256 capital construction projects with a total investment amounting to 40.46 billion yuan ($6 billion), of which 33.56 billion yuan will be invested in 196 continuing and newly launched projects in 2019.

To promote innovation and entrepreneurship, the zone has been attaching importance to the development of enterprises, planning to provide platforms and supporting services for the commercialization of research findings.

The first phase of the biomedicine base is under construction. Additionally, a base for integrated circuit research and a building where comprehensive services are provided in a park for innovative industries will be inaugurated in 2019.

The zone will provide a better living environment by improving regional road networks and ensuring local residents' wellbeing by adding more public service facilities, according to the plan.
