A group of 10 delegates from the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone took a study trip to various innovative enterprises in Beijing from Jan 8 to 11.
At the headquarters of 36kr, a leading Chinese media firm specializing in technology-related reports, the delegation learned about how the company has helped incubate start-ups from 12 cities across the country and were given an insight into how the company operates.
They got to know about future network security plans and products at the 360 Security Technology Inc and visited its National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Collaborative Security Technology.
At the Plug and Play (PNP) China, a Silicon Valley-based innovation platform, the delegation learned about its novel operation pattern which includes innovation for governments and enterprises, business acceleration, mentor-student mode, entrepreneurial activity, and venture investment.
They also held further discussions about PNP's continuous focus on the fields of big data, industrial internet of things, intelligent-oriented manufacturing, transportation and healthcare.
PNP joined hands with the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in December for an international innovation and entrepreneurial project.
The research and development department of Microsoft introduced the delegation to its operations and areas of business, as well as its key products of virtual reality glasses, panoramic screens and multi-language interpretation devices.
The delegates expressed their gratitude for having the opportunity to broaden their horizons and said they had gained inspiration for their future work.
Part of a series of themed activities arranged by the Hefei National High-tech Development Zone for young entrepreneurs, the study trip focuses on "going out" and encourages young businesspeople to learn from the outside world and conduct exchanges with each other.
