The signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between the Zhanjiang municipal government and China National Complete Engineering Corporation (CCEC) took place on Sept 25.

The two parties will jointly promote the construction of the international granary industrial park and advance all-around cooperation in grain-based agricultural products and related industrial chains.

Zhanjiang is positioned as a key city in the Belt and Road maritime cooperation. It is also the central city in the Beibu Gulf city cluster and a sub-central city in Guangdong province, and is participating in the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in Western China as the only prefecture-level city, said Zeng Jinze, acting mayor of Zhanjiang.

Zhanjiang will make full use of its advantages in ports, agricultural resources, and comprehensive bonded zone policies to provide CCEC with broader spaces for agricultural development, added Zeng.

Zeng also expressed his hopes that CCEC will make full use of its advantages in resources, platforms, and experience to help Zhanjiang advance its agricultural development and raise the quality of its opening up efforts.
