A batch of slow cookers were checked and released by Zhanjiang Customs on Sept 1, marking the successful start of the cross-border e-commerce business-to-business (B2B) export business in the city.
Cross-border e-commerce B2B exports are divided into two categories. One is the direct export of goods from domestic businesses to overseas businesses by cross-border logistics, while the other is the export of goods by a domestic business to its overseas warehouse first, and then to overseas purchasers.
The batch of slow cookers from Zhanjiang Xinyuan Supply Chain Management Co Ltd is valued at 138,500 yuan ($20,310.98) and will be exported to Germany.
Zhanjiang Customs was added to the list of cross-border e-commerce B2B export supervision pilot zones by the General Administration of Customs on Aug 13.
Enterprises in Zhanjiang and Maoming, which are within the jurisdiction of Zhanjiang Customs, are eligible to carry out cross-border e-commerce B2B export business from Sept 1.
