The Zhanjiang Frontier Inspection Station under the jurisdiction of Zhuhai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection checked and released more than 1,300 international ships in the first half of this year, up 4 percent year-on-year, helping enterprises resume work and production.

Zhanjiang is located at the intersection of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the Hainan Free Trade Port, and the Beibu Gulf city cluster.

Zhanjiang Port is a commodity and iron ore trading center in South China. It has currently opened 45 container shipping lines to domestic coastal areas, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia, as well as 17 sea-railway combined transportation lines to inland areas, connecting with more than 150 countries and regions around the world.

The Zhanjiang Frontier Inspection Station has taken various measures to ensure the safe production and business operations at Zhanjiang Port, including establishing a joint COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control mechanism by cooperating with Zhanjiang Customs.

In addition, the frontier inspection station optimizes it services by making use of online platforms. It can offer one-on-one guidance through the use of the "single window" platform or the WeChat applet, as well as offer policy consultations through its phone hotlines and WeChat public account.

"In the second half of this year, international ships coming to Zhanjiang Port will be more intensive, bringing more pressure on our duties, as well as our COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures," said Lin Jia, leader of the second duty team responsible for the inspection of international ships at the Zhanjiang Frontier Inspection Station.

"However, no matter when the ships arrive, we will carry out entry-exit inspection and clearance as soon as possible, so as to boost the stable economic development of Zhanjiang Port with high quality and efficient border inspection services," added Lin.
