Zhanjiang has recently been carrying out promotional activities for poverty alleviation products through online live streaming platforms, aiming to expand sales channels for poverty alleviation products amid the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak and increase the incomes of impoverished households.
The activities were jointly organized by the city's poverty relief office and Zhanjiang E-commerce Industrial Park.
"Live streaming is a good way to directly show the quality and usage or experience of products to online consumers," said Deng Biyun, the person in charge of Zhanjiang E-commerce Industrial Park.
The COVID-19 epidemic has caused marketing difficulties for poverty alleviation products that used to focus on offline sales, as well as micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
"I hope that the industrial park's big data technology can help promote sales of Zhanjiang's poverty alleviation products and the products of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises," added Deng.
