Xiahai Customs of Zhanjiang officially licensed general AEO certification to four re-certified companies on March 25. To date, the Zhanjiang Customs area, including Zhanjiang and Maoming, has a total of 14 AEO advanced certification companies and 47 general certification companies.

The AEO system is a system advocated and vigorously promoted by the World Customs Organization to promote the security and convenience of international supply chains.

Due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, Zhanjiang Customs has implemented 21 measures to help enterprises overcome difficult times, such as providing accurate assistance and online service for enterprises, as well as carrying out convenient service measures for new applications for AEO general certification.　

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Xiahai Customs has implemented an online question answering system and answered 35 inquiries for enterprises through various platforms.

The relevant person in charge of Xiahai Customs said that in the future, the customs will further promote preferential policies for AEO companies, conduct one-on-one cultivation for enterprises included in the re-certification, vigorously promote mutual recognition of AEO with enterprises in countries along the Belt and Road, as well as grasp the trends of re-certification operations and corporate demands in a timely fashion.
