Ni Yuefeng, director and Party secretary of the General Administration of Customs, led a research group to Zhanjiang to strengthen supervision and optimization services, as well as to support the construction of major local projects.

Zheng Renhao, Party secretary of Zhanjiang, gave an overview of the development advantages, development plans, and application of comprehensive insurance zones to the group while inspecting the container terminal of Zhanjiang Port. Zheng noted that Zhanjiang has achieved great results in port industrial development, transportation infrastructure construction, opening-up platform upgrades, and participation in the construction of the western Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

For more than a year, Zhanjiang Customs has actively implemented reforms of its supervision mode of imported mineral products, greatly improving the efficiency of custom clearance by reducing the duration and costs.

Ni fully affirmed the achievements made by Zhanjiang Customs in strengthening supervision and optimizing services, as well as stressed that Zhanjiang should continue to deepen reforms, promote customs clearance efficiency, and create a better port business environment to contribute to local economic development.
