An agriculture exchange delegation from Taiwan, consisting of the Agricultural Association of Changhua County, a Tainan mango production cooperative, as well as agricultural experts and scholars, visited Zhanjiang, aiming to strengthen the agricultural cooperation between Zhanjiang and Taiwan.

The Taiwan delegation participated in the cross-Strait agricultural cooperation (Taiwan) fruit new variety presentation conference, as well as carried out investigations of agricultural project investment and circulation cooperation matters. It also had discussions with agricultural enterprise leaders, as well as professional and technical personnel.

The main leaders of the Taiwan affairs office of Zhanjiang noted that Taiwan enterprises have gone through 32 years of development in Zhanjiang and has now expanded to more than 10 industries, such as planting, aquaculture, agricultural and fishery services, agricultural and sideline products processing, food manufacturing, paper and paper products, wood processing and manufacturing, chemical raw materials and chemicals, retail, catering, real estate, as well as sports and entertainment.

Zhanjiang expects to strengthen exchanges with Taiwan and achieve bilateral development in the future.
