Lingnan Normal University in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong province has set up its first academician workstation, recruiting Wang Kesheng, a top expert in international smart manufacturing, and his team.

The academician workstation team will form a research group with research personnel from the university in the field of smart manufacturing and control. It will train high-level talents and promising young academics, helping the university apply for international cooperation projects, major projects, and key platforms of China and Guangdong province, as well as enhance the visibility of the university's electronic information disciplines.

The university will make full use of the role that Wang and his team play to improve synergy and innovation in production, education, and research, creating a talent innovation base and technology R&D base, as well as further enhancing its discipline construction, scientific research, and ability to serve the community.
