Delegations representing Zhanjiang and Liuzhou held a symposium on healthcare cooperation in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province on June 19 to deepen communication between the two cities.

The Liuzhou delegation from Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region conducted on-site surveys at Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University, Guangdong Medical University, Zhanjiang Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang the next day.

In recent years, Zhanjiang, a medical and health center in western Guangdong, has achieved positive results in developing municipal and county-level hospitals, as well as health centers and stations in villages and towns based on reform, accurate problem solving, and continuous system improvement.

Zhanjiang has also helped enhance the grassroots comprehensive medical service capabilities of Rongan, Rongshui, and Sanjiang counties in Liuzhou through deeper exchanges and cooperation focusing on improving health in poverty alleviation efforts.

The Guangdong city will start to build a city-level health information platform this year to integrate its medical and health information resources, as well as to facilitate management and resource sharing.
