A piaose art troupe from Meiling Residential Community, Wuchuan, Zhanjiang, Guangdong province captured the attention of many residents and visitors in Macao during a recent piaose street parade held in Macao on June 19.

The art troupe's visit to Macao was organized by the Zhanjiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese to strengthen friendly communications with Macao patriotic associations and extend Zhanjiang overseas Chinese associations' fellowship work.

Piaose is a traditional style of Lingnan performance that includes acting, magic, acrobatics, music, and dancing.

The street parade started at the Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral to celebrate Macao's Lotus Festival.

The art troupe also visited the Ruins of St. Paul's Na Tcha Temple, a State-level intangible cultural heritage representative item, and met with a representative inheritor during the trip, playing a positive role in promoting exemplary traditional Chinese culture in Macao.
