Chikan district in Zhanjiang held a cultural event at Zhanjiang 17th Primary School on June 10 to help students learn more about traditional opera through several activities. 

The activity was held by the publicity department, the civilization office, the cultural association, the education bureau, and the speech recitation association of Chikan district. During the event, famous Cantonese opera masters in Guangdong province gave well-received lectures to students and instructors invited some students to take part in renditions of Cantonese opera performances. After the drama lecture, the Cantonese opera actors from Zhanjiang also performed Cantonese opera classics for students.

The event has provided an opportunity for students to feel the charm of traditional opera directly, allowing them to further understand the traditional opera culture and the unique characteristics of local opera.
