A 220 kv transformer substation responsible for the power supply and distribution of the entire Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery and Petrochemical Co started operation on May 23. 

The substation lays a solid foundation for the company's subsequent distribution centers and regional power substations.

The four-circuit electric transmission line that the new transformer substation uses is a significant part of Zhongke's utility system, and also the first item that has gone into operation in Zhongke's entire  project.

The substation, which started construction at the end of 2017, has attached importance to a wide range of aspects including production, systems, equipment, safety, and quality in its construction.

A special work team has been set up to deal with difficulties occurred in the process of powerline construction, such as passing through villages, farmland, fishponds, houses, railways, and roads.

All of the power transmission lines have been connected on May 7, and two lines from the Donghai Island substation to the Zhongke substation are capable of supplying power.

To date, three 110 kv power distribution centers and their downstream substations are under construction. The No 1 and No 3 distribution centers are expected to receive power before June, and the No 2 distribution center is expected to receive power before September. The downstream substations are expected to receive power in the second half of this year.
