Four Zhanjiang agricultural products, including Zhanjiang chicken, Naozhou lobster and abalone and Suixi patchouli, received a Chinese Geographical Indication Trademark this year, according to the Zhanjiang Bureau of Industry and Commerce.

National protected geographical indication products are products produced in a specific area whose natural environment, historical background or culture form an essential characteristic of the product.

The geographical indication title not only serves as a powerful endorsement for the quality of a product, but also enhances its reputation and helps boost the local economy.
