Tour of Leizhou Peninsula wraps up in Zhanjiang

The 5th Tour of Leizhou Peninsula was held in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province on Oct 28, with more than 1,800 foreign and domestic cyclists from 26 provinces and cities participating.

The 200-kilometer cycling route started from Zhanjiang Sports Center, passing through Jinsha Bay Bathing Beach, Binhu Park, Guandu Oyster Farm, Guantang village, Qiantang Lotus Pond, Guanyao village, the Former Residence of Zhang Yan, and Mingshangming Tea Plantation.

Cyclists could not only take in the fascinating natural scenery along the route, but also acquaint themselves with the profound local culture.

The event, the most influential of its kind in the city, was hosted by Zhanjiang Municipal People's Government. It was locally overseen by the Zhanjiang Sports Bureau under the auspices of Zhanjiang Cycling Association and Guangzhou Zero Culture.
