The four-day China Marine Economy Expo (CMEE) 2017 ended in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province on Dec 17, with more than 90 billion yuan ($13.6 billion) in deals and intents of cooperation agreed, up 105 percent on last year.
For each of the past four years the expo has been held in Zhanjiang. It has got bigger and better, gaining greater international influence and attracting more and more business deals.
More than 3,200 enterprises from 63 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Russia and the United States have attended the event, putting their commodities on show.

Organized by the State Oceanic Administration, the national pavilion was the most popular among the event's five zones. More than 100,000 people toured the pavilion to catch a glimpse of national scientific research ships, submarines and unmanned vessels.
A total of 16 large-scale purchase conferences were held during the event. Russia stood out of some 30 overseas purchasing groups with a wide purchasing range covering vessels, port logistics, marine environmental protection, financial services and equipment.
