A Zhanjiang delegation led by Mayor Wang Zhongbing visited Dongguan city and attended an investment promotion campaign about its forestry industry on Nov 18.

Representatives of more than 50 enterprises in Dongguan participated in the event. Zhanjiang delegation informed the attendants about Zhanjiang Forest Industrial Park.

The Park is located in Taiping town, Mazhang district, with a planning area of 30 square kilometers. From January to September this year, the Park's total industrial output value reached 10 billion yuan ($1.6 billion).

Mayor Wang explained the advantages and prospects of Zhanjiang's forestry industry. He said that the paper industry is one of the three leading industries in Zhanjiang and that Zhanjiang Forest Industrial Park is well-equipped with necessary infrastructure and facilities.

He pointed out that Dongguan, as a world-class manufacturing base, has undergone substantial industrial transformation, adding that Zhanjiang and Dongguan have complementary advantages in paper industry.

Wang welcomed local paper enterprises to start businesses in Zhanjiang. He promised that Zhanjiang municipal government would provide them with full support and exceptional services.
