33 countries confirmed to attend CMEE 2015

A total of 33 countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Seychelles, Israel, Tunisia, the UK, Italy and South Korea have been confirmed to attend the 2015 China Marine Economy Expo (CMEE), which will be held in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong province, from Nov 26 to 29, the organizing committee announced.

Altogether 1,589 companies will attend the Expo, out of whom 163 are international enterprises, 16 are among the global top 500 companies and 86 are listed enterprises.

Meanwhile, one main forum and three special topic forums will be held during the expo, namely Marine Economy Development & City Mayor High-end Summit, International Marine Culture and Tourism High-end Forum, South China Sea Modern Fishery Development High-end Forum and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Ports Forum.

Leaders of Guangdong Provincial Government and the State Oceanic Administration will give speeches at the forums. Mayors of Guangzhou, Yantai, Zhoushan, Quanzhou, Beihai and Zhanjiang will have in-depth discussions during the Expo on new targets and new ideas for city development.

The Expo will also hold a variety of trade activities such as signing ceremonies, product launch, project promotion and business exchanges, aiming to provide more cooperation opportunities for exhibitors and help them reach investment and trade deals.
