The 2015 Lianjiang (Jingdong) Red Orange Tourism and Culture Festival will kick off in Lianjiang, a county-level city in Zhanjiang, on Dec 5, according to a press conference held on Tuesday.
This year's festival will work with China's e-commerce giant Jingdong to integrate the red orange industry chain with the Internet. Lianjiang red oranges will be sold to domestic and overseas markets through e-commerce.
Meanwhile, Jingdong will establish a Lianjiang pavilion to sell local specialties on its online-shopping platform JD.com.
Jingdong Group will also inspect production bases of agricultural and sideline products and trading enterprises in Lianjiang, seeking cooperation with local leading purveyors of agricultural products.
The festival was sponsored by Jingdong Group, the Lianjiang Chamber of Commerce and the Lianjiang Construction Industry Federation.
