A number of makers from colleges and universities in Shenzhen and Guangdong will showcase their innovative products during the Marine Maker Festival, which will be held in Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Center at the same time as the 2015 China Marine Economy Expo (CMEE) that will run from Nov 26 to 29, according to the preparatory committee of the CMEE.

The Festival aims to promote mass entrepreneurship and innovation and provide an exchange platform for makers.

Innovation teams from Shenzhen will display intelligent furniture, intelligent battledore and 3D printing products at their exhibition area.

They have developed a new type 3D printing product, which not only highlights designers' creative ideas, but also can meet customers' customized demand.

Makers from Guangdong Ocean University will showcase unmanned aerial vehicle control system, intelligent Wi-Fi camera, mobile Wi-Fi ordering system and other personalized service products at the Festival.

There will also be an interactive zone for visitors to experience robot education and performances from very close distance.

Meanwhile, winners of the 2015 China (Zhanjiang) Marine Science and Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, which is part of the marine economy expo, will also exhibit their projects at the Festival.
