Zhanjiang welcomes German business delegation

The city of Zhanjiang welcomed a business delegation, representing eastern German enterprises on Oct 28.

The German delegation led by Peter Alltschekow, director for Eastern Germany at Germany Trade & Invest, Germany's FDI and trade advisory agency, and representatives from about 50 Zhanjiang enterprises attended a business exchange meeting, which aimed to establish a cooperation platform and win-win results for both sides.

Zhanjiang Mayor Wang Zhongbing extended warm welcome to the visiting delegation at the meeting and introduced Zhanjiang's investment advantages and development prospects.

Wang said that with industrial transformation, Zhanjiang's industrialization and urbanization will record rapid growth. Zhanjiang and German companies have promising cooperation opportunities in various industries, urban construction and social administration.

He added that the city will also organize business trip by a delegation of Zhanjiang enterprises to Germany to enhance cooperation and seek business opportunities. He hoped Zhanjiang could become an attractive investment destination for German enterprises.

Head of German business delegation Peter Alltschekow responded that China has a huge market that can provide German enterprises with substantial opportunities. He noted that as a key city in South China, Zhanjiang's economy has maintained rapid growth.

He hoped to cooperate with Zhanjiang enterprises in different fields including security, vocational education, traffic, fire protection and new energy.

Germany Trade & Invest is Germany's official investment promotion agency. Its main task is to seek potential investors for eastern Germany.
