A promotion event for Zhanjiang bonded logistics center was held in Zhanjiang on Aug 12, introducing its preferential policies and business models. More than 70 enterprises attended the event.

"The bonded logistics center will pave the way for lucrative business opportunities. Zhanjiang enterprises should grasp the opportunity and enhance their market competitiveness," said Lin Shuiqi, chairman of Zhanjiang Federation of Industry and Commerce.

Zhanjiang bonded logistics center will attract logistics enterprises from home and abroad to settle in. It will help reduce logistics cost for foreign trade enterprises, and make Zhanjiang a pivotal logistics port in South and Southwest China.

The center, which is under construction, will cover an area of 412,000 square meters. The first phase of the project, including a warehouse, a storage yard and an inspection area, will be completed in October 2015.
