Shaoguan is the northernmost prefecture-level city of Guangdong province. Bordering Hunan province to the northwest and Jiangxi to the northeast, the city is located at the confluence of the Zhenjiang, Wujiang and Beijiang rivers.
Zhanjiang city is located in the southernmost part of the Chinese mainland and southwest of Guangdong province, covering the northern part of Leizhou Peninsula.
Zhaoqing is located in the midwest of Guangdong province beside the Xijiang River, bordering on Foshan and Jiangmen, adjacent to Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao.
