Zhang Guozhi, vice governor of Guangdong province, met with Maja Gojkovic, president of Vojvodina, an autonomous province of Serbia, in Guangzhou on Dec 5. The two sides signed a five-year action plan (2026-30) to enhance friendly cooperation between the regions.

Zhang emphasized Guangdong's commitment to deepening practical cooperation with Serbia under the strategic framework of the China-Serbia community with a shared future. She expressed hope for strengthened exchanges and collaboration in economy, trade, logistics, culture, and education.

Gojkovic, on her first visit to Guangdong, praised the province's development and expressed interest in expanding cooperation.

Officials from Guangdong's foreign affairs, education, commerce, and agricultural departments attended the meeting.

During her visit from Dec 1 to 5, Gojkovic also participated in the 2025 Imperial Springs International Forum and visited several cultural and research institutions in the province.
