Sinologists from around the world began an immersive cultural journey on June 2 at the Site of Xuanquan Posthouse in Dunhuang, Jiuquan city, as part of the 3rd World Conference of Sinologists.
Hongguang village in Jinta county, Jiuquan, became a vibrant hub of celebration as the Jiuquan City Rural Tourism and Jinta County Spring Blossom and Outing Festival began on April 3.
In a conference room in Dunhuang, a vital ancient Silk Road hub in Northwest China's Gansu province, a lecture explored China's various earthen heritage sites and the scientific study of traditional craftsmanship.
"Cultural relics can speak for themselves. They show us the greatness of the Chinese mainland and the vastness of our 5,000 years of history," said Hsu Po-yih, a Taiwan artist, during his visit to Dunhuang, Northwest China's Gansu province.
Jiuquan is famous at home and abroad for its Dunhuang culture, frontier culture and space technology and was selected as "The Most Popular Well-Known Western City".
