Yuecheng hosts Song-style wedding ceremony
Yuecheng district marriage registration center hosted 40 newlywed couples, dressed in traditional attire, for a Song Dynasty (420-479) style collective wedding at the center's new location at Huangjiu Town (yellow rice wine)'s Liyuan Square. This event marks the transformation of Yuecheng's marriage registration services from a single administrative function into a comprehensive social service that integrates wedding ceremonies with culture and tourism.

The newly established marriage registration center blends with the architectural style of the ancient town outside, while inside, it features functional areas such as a certificate presentation hall and a wedding customs exhibition area, with decorations incorporating Chinese elements. Adjacent to the center, a Wedding Customs Museum showcases the traditional marriage customs of Shaoxing.

At the collective wedding ceremony, couples entered hand-in-hand, holding red silk ties, completing their Song Dynasty wedding ritual under the host's guidance. Couples reported that this format was simple and stress-free, allowing them to experience traditional wedding customs. A German groom said this was his first time experiencing a Chinese Song-style wedding and was particularly impressed by the ride in a black-awning boat.
