The 2026 Hehe Culture Forum is being held from Oct 26 to 28 in Tiantai county, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, highlighting efforts to promote traditional culture and international dialogue.

Over the past five years, the forum has hosted 22 dialogues, signed more than 10 cooperation agreements, and attracted participants from more than 60 countries, including former national leaders, ambassadors to China, and sister-city mayors, as well as renowned sinologists, artists, foreign media journalists, and international youth.

Taizhou has established 33 overseas cultural stations across 16 countries on five continents, which have hosted more than 800 cultural exchange events. A cultural tourism short drama about Hehe culture — a regional philosophy rooted in harmony and integration — Xun Tian Ji: A Sacred Realm of Hehe Culture has also been translated into 17 languages, with video exposure exceeding 100 million in its first week and coverage spanning more than 200 countries and regions.

The city has also applied Hehe principles to local development, with the Xianju Ancient Chinese Waxberry Composite System designated a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2023.
