A micro-renovation project for the food district at Jingshui Lu and Jingyi Lu in Nanhu district, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, wrapped up in September, upgrading the neighborhood without large-scale demolition or reconstruction.

The project carried out targeted upgrades, including vibrant sidewalk murals, revamped bus stops, refreshed storefronts, and new pocket leisure plazas. A neighborhood-exclusive character brand, "Yangyang," was also introduced to create a more youthful vibe.

The renovation also brought more order to outdoor dining areas and parking while retaining the lively character of the traditional food district. The improved environment has boosted consumer activity, with several specialty restaurants reporting significant increases in foot traffic.

The local government plans to maintain the upgraded facilities and organize more activities to attract visitors and further promote the district as a food hub.
