The 11th "Quzhou Lanke Cup" Chinese Go Championship concluded on Sept 7 in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, with Xu Jiayang winning the title.

This victory makes Xu, a 9-dan player (the highest rank in professional Go), the first two-time champion in the tournament's history after winning the eighth edition in 2021.

A total of 32 top players competed in this year's tournament, including 16 world champions. The first stage was held in Beijing, while the final stage took place at the foot of Lanke Mountain in Quzhou.

The tournament was established in 2006 and has been held 11 times. This year's event was hosted by the Chinese Weiqi Association (CWA), the Sport Bureau of Zhejiang Province, and the Quzhou municipal government.

Sun Guangming, vice-president of CWA, congratulated Xu and runner-up Huang Yunsong and paid tribute to all competitors, encouraging them to continue honing their skills and promoting Go culture.
