Quzhou's lithium battery exports totaled 1.26 billion yuan ($186.79 million) in the first half of this year, up 173.2 percent year-on-year, according to Quzhou Customs.

Recently, lithium battery packs produced by Quzhou Jidian New Energy Technology Co passed customs inspection and were shipped overseas after receiving the required certificates.

Founded in June 2022, Quzhou Jidian specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of power batteries and related components. Its products support major automakers including Zeekr and Volvo.

The growth of Quzhou's lithium battery sector has benefited from a well-established industrial ecosystem covering upstream and downstream links, with nearby suppliers helping companies improve supply chain efficiency.

As overseas orders have increased, Quzhou Jidian has seen more frequent shipments and higher requirements for customs clearance efficiency and inspection services. Quzhou Customs has provided targeted support through factory visits, business consultations, and optimized inspection procedures.

The customs authority has also strengthened compliance guidance by providing information on export regulations, product standards, and safety requirements for lithium battery transportation, helping companies expand their global footprint while meeting relevant requirements.
