Huzhou beverage companies are ramping up production to meet rising overseas demand for summer drinks, with exports of juice tea, flavored beverages, and other seasonal products from the city exceeding 230 million yuan ($33.99 million) in value in the first half of the year.

At Huzhou Tesla Beer Co, cans of craft beer undergo processes including mashing, boiling, cooling, fermentation, and maturation before being shipped overseas.

The company has more than 60 registered trademarks and over 40 patents, and its beer brands, including Lincoln and Yanyu Jiangnan, have entered Southeast Asian markets. Its products have also built a presence in the African market this year.

New-style tea beverage suppliers are also seeing strong overseas demand. Zhejiang Jiurun Food Technology Co in Deqing county produces flavored drinks, juice bases, and tea beverage ingredients through automated sterile production lines.

The company exported more than 25 million yuan worth of milk tea ingredients from January to May, up more than 240 percent year-on-year, with products sold to more than 20 countries and regions, including those in the European Union and ASEAN.

To support beverage exporters, Huzhou Customs has provided guidance on overseas market access requirements and improved digital inspection and certification services to help local companies speed up customs clearance and expand their global footprint.
